4 thick halibut steaks
1 small can mushroom pieces
1 can shredded crab meat
1/2 small onion, diced
3 stalks celery, diced
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp thyme
1 tsp garlic salt
salt & pepper to taste
10 - 12 slices of bread, cubed
1/4 c butter or margarine
Drain mushrooms and crab meat, reserving liquid. Saute celery, onions, sage, thyme and garlic salt in melted butter. In large bowl, mix together bread crumbs, mushrooms, crab meat, onions and celery. Pour in juice from crab meat and mushrooms a little at a time until proper consistency (think turkey stuffing here).
Butterfly the halibut steaks and stuff. Sprinkle Lemon Pepper seasoning on top if desired. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
