4 - 5 Portabella Mushroom Caps with stems removed
2 cups Soy Sauce
1/2 c Sugar
Dash of Liquid Smoke
4 - 5 Slices of Provolone Cheese
Mix Soy Sauce, Sugar and Liquid Smoke together. Place mushrooms (2 at a time) in rectangular rubbermaid type container. Pour marinade over mushrooms. Let sit for 5 - 7 minutes. Turn mushrooms over and let sit another 5 - 7 minutes. Place mushrooms on a plate and marinade the remaining mushrooms in the same fashion.
Cover your grill with tin foil. slice a few holes in the foil. Place the mushrooms on heated grill, with the stem area facing down. Cook for 5 minutes, and then turn gently with a spatula. Cook for another 5 minutes. Turn off heat, and place cheese on the stem side of the mushroom. Let cheese melt, and eat like a "regular" hamburger.
